Today I discovered that it's very difficult to drill a 500 micron hole without breaking the drill, and that machining that looks OK to the naked eye looks like a ploughed land through a microscope.

Today I re-discovered that one should never assume that any of the components of a non-operational electronic circuit is functional. I've also discovered that transistors go out of fashion.
