I seem to have discovered that a quartz capillary with a 50 micron inner diameter can get blocked along its whole length. The flow of high-pressure CO2 through the used capillary is much lower than through a new capillary.
Science fascintating, but what is published is not nearly as interesting as is what happened behind the scenes ...
